Excuse me, but the match box sign you advise will result in a proper diagnosis of DOP.
If you read at MRF site, 95% of these people have done just that. "Morgellons disease" is synonymous with DOP. They also state on their site that, on the average, these people have seen 10-40 doctors. That is typical for delusions of parasitosis.
